Short answer
Yes, when you want a large, finished room from one unit fast. An expandable home arrives fitted out, opens in about two hours and gives about 35, 54 or 69 m² inside in 20, 30 or 40 ft, with nine standard floor plans of one to three bedrooms. The trade-offs are weight (about 2,500 to 6,000 kg per unit), fewer units per shipment than flat pack, and stacking that is confirmed per project.
Pros and Cons at a Glance
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| About 35 / 54 / 69 m² inside from one 20 / 30 / 40 ft unit | Heavy: about 2,500 / 4,000 / 6,000 kg, so a crane or forklift is needed |
| Fitted out in the factory; opens on site in about two hours | Each unit ships as one folded box about 2200 mm wide, so fewer per load than flat pack |
| Nine standard floor plans, one to three bedrooms | Rooms are 2240 mm high inside |
| Eight standard exterior colours and custom finishes | Multi-storey stacking is confirmed per project; flat pack is our standard for stacked blocks |
| Mixed sizes can ship in one order | A permanent home still needs local permits |

Where Expandable Homes Are Strong
A big room without site work. A 20 ft unit opens from about 2200 mm wide to 6300 × 5900 mm outside, a 40 ft unit to 6300 × 11800 mm. Walls, wiring, doors and windows are fitted in our factory, so after about two hours the house is ready to furnish.
That suits individuals and small developers buying a home, guest house or rental unit, and contractors who need a site manager's house or large office from one delivery. Beyond the eight standard colours we offer wood grain, stone grain and metallic finishes, so a row of rentals need not look like a site camp.
Where Expandable Homes Are Weaker
Weight and freight are the honest drawbacks. A 40 ft unit weighs about 6,000 kg and ships as one folded box, so you need a crane or forklift and clear access to the base. For a large camp of many rooms, flat pack units packed as frame and panels usually cost less to ship.
The fold-out wings add joints that need a yearly seal check. For buildings of several floors, flat pack is the standard; if shipping space matters most, our Model 700 folds to only 700 mm wide.

Check with your local permit office whether the house may be a permanent home. Tell us the size, layout and destination; we reply within one working day with the floor plan drawing, a container loading plan and an FOB China quote, and you can watch units being built on a video factory tour.
